BUSHWACKER ... The "Legend" continues to grow.
Bushwacker managed to "win" the "BURIED ALIVE" award at the Camp Northern Lights 2006 event. Curtis (Iron PIG ) felt that Bushwacker should lead the way through a mud hole so that we could bypass a difficult off camber technical run through some trees. Wailing away in 2nd low ... Bushwacker came to an abrupt stop when it hit a wall of mud. Two trucks, 2 winches & 2 snatch blocks later, Bushwacker was out. Two days later, Bushwacker was washed & polished for a photo shoot for "WORLD of WHEELS" magazine. Pictures from the shoot will be shown later. A week later BUSHWACKER was featured in 4WD ( www.can4x4.com ) magazine( volume 8 issue 4,page 7, 2006) from B.C. with a complete 1 page "auto"biography. Thanks to the editor Albert Vandervelde for the exposure.

World of Wheels
Mike Goetz of WORLD of WHEELS ( www.wheels.ca ) magazine contacted me after talking to Albert Vandervelde of 4WD magazine ( www.CAN4X4.com). Albert had seen pictures of Bushwacker's restoration & referred it to Mike for a piece on new FJ Cruiser. Mike & Phillippe Crowe met Ric & Bushwacker at the Brighton Hunting Area where they interviewed Ric & photographed Bushwacker. BUSHWACKER appeared in a 3 page spread in the November, 2006 World of Wheels edition as a contrasting article to the new 2006/7 offroad vehicles. In the same edition a Nissan Xterra, Hummer h3 & Toyota FJ Cruiser were featured as a comparitive article. Both Ric & Bud drove the vehicles through the Brighton Hunting Area & were asked for their opinions about the prowess of these vehicles as offroaders.
