It was a slow summer for offroading, my engine rebuild was not done until the end of June & lots of rain in July ... but a few runs were done & the top was finished.
A few pictures of some TOP changes for Bushwacker. Besides that ... a GM power steering pump was added as well as a steering cooler and a gasoline pressure control switch. I'm running out of worthwhile ideas !
Weslemekoon Area Wearing the new top down to reduce backdraft on the highway.
Show & Shine !!!
The 2nd factory roll bar was added so that a new "family" top with 2 sunroofs could be used to provide protection for the rear seats.
An ICON
The is an ICON ... a 2008 reproduction of the FJ40, retailing for $90 000 US. It has a highly modified Chevy engine but tries to retain the FJ40 persona as close as possible ... I think Bushwacker does it better.
TOPPED Off
The original top & doors was painted to match the Olive Brown of the truck. Now to get used to the feeling of being enclosed. The picture was during a fall leaf tour in the Weslemekoon Area.
Camoflage ?
Rolling past a glacial "pebble".
Peeking
So much beauty in the Ontario forests.
What's next?
The rear ambulance doors need refinishing & perhaps new springs but that is about it. Something to do in 2009.
